This page describes the current GrokCart beta. GrokCart is an independent shopping assistant, not an official X or xAI service.

Searching and saving results

Searches use public store catalogs and, when enabled and within the free allowance, the xAI Grok API. Catalog-only searches do not use the paid Grok API. Queries, an optional delivery city, offer snapshots, timestamps and usage records are stored on the GrokCart server and linked to your account or guest session. An optional delivery city is stored in this browser and sent with your next search to the selected Grok service. It guides discovery; it does not confirm local stock or delivery. We do not use device geolocation or infer a shopping location from your IP. Avoid including card numbers, passwords or other sensitive information in a search.

Search history is private to the signed-in account. Guest history belongs to that browser session; signing out or clearing its cookie ends access. Records are retained during this beta, and there is no automatic account-deletion workflow yet. A 30-minute result cache is a reuse window, not a deletion schedule.

Your account

A guest account uses a session cookie and an optional nickname. When X sign-in is activated and you choose to connect, GrokCart requests your X identity, profile photo and subscription information if X provides it. You choose whether to move your guest searches and cart into that account.

GrokCart does not post or send messages through your X account. X access tokens are used for sign-in and then discarded; revocation is attempted immediately. Connecting X does not grant GrokCart access to your personal Grok subscription.

Your cart

Your cart is stored on the GrokCart server, privately linked to your account or guest session. It includes selected product links, names, price snapshots, quantities and the originating searches. It stays available after a reload and follows your signed-in X account across devices. Guest access depends on the session cookie. You can remove items from the cart at any time; removing an item does not delete its search history. Adding an item does not reserve stock, create an order or send payment information to a merchant.

Browser storage and service providers

Saved finds, sample checkout data, watchlists and shopping preferences use storage in your browser. They are not yet synchronized across devices. Session cookies are HttpOnly and Secure on the live HTTPS site. Keyed IP fingerprints are used to apply usage limits; they are not a public identifier.

Cloudflare handles traffic to the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures page visits and performance, including page addresses, browser/device information and loading timings. Product images can be loaded from retailer or image-provider servers, which receive the network request. Opening a store takes you to that store's services and privacy terms. Your personal Grok connection

The optional experimental connection stores your Grok automation webhook endpoint and signing secret encrypted on the GrokCart server. This is separate from X sign-in. When you start a personal Grok search or connection test, we send that request, a short-lived result capability and the current query with your optional delivery city to your Grok automation. We do not send saved history, card details, street address or browser cookies. Returned results are saved privately in your account. The connector cannot read account history or make purchases. Your Grok service limits and privacy terms apply; no unlimited usage is promised. Personal mode never silently falls back to our paid API.

Disconnecting deletes the stored webhook credential and invalidates outstanding requests. Existing saved results remain in your history. You can separately disable or remove the automation and connector in Grok. Connection tests and usage metadata are retained during the beta.

Merchant checkout

Supported purchases are completed at the merchant, in a separate checkout window or tab. The merchant receives your delivery and payment details and emails your confirmation. GrokCart does not receive that confirmation yet.

Payment details

Integrated ordering and card saving are not active in this beta. No real card information can be entered into the sample checkout. If the Stripe card vault is activated later, its secure fields send card details directly to Stripe. Saving a card alone will not place a retailer order.
