This page describes the current GrokCart beta. GrokCart is an independent shopping assistant, not an official X or xAI service.

Searching and saving results

Your search text is sent to xAI's Grok API to find products. Queries, offer snapshots, timestamps and usage records are stored on the GrokCart server and linked to your account or guest session. Avoid including card numbers, passwords or other sensitive information in a search.

Search history is private to the signed-in account. Guest history belongs to that browser session; signing out or clearing its cookie ends access. Records are retained during this beta, and there is no automatic account-deletion workflow yet. A 30-minute result cache is a reuse window, not a deletion schedule.

Your account

A guest account uses a session cookie and an optional nickname. When X sign-in is activated and you choose to connect, GrokCart requests your X identity, profile photo and subscription information if X provides it. You choose whether to move your guest search history into that account.

GrokCart does not post or send messages through your X account. X access tokens are used for sign-in and then discarded; revocation is attempted immediately. Connecting X does not grant GrokCart access to your personal Grok subscription.

Browser storage and service providers

Saved finds, sample checkout data, watchlists and shopping preferences use storage in your browser. They are not yet synchronized across devices. Session cookies are HttpOnly and Secure on the live HTTPS site. Keyed IP fingerprints are used to apply usage limits; they are not a public identifier.

Cloudflare handles traffic to the site. Product images can be loaded from retailer or image-provider servers, which receive the network request. Opening a store takes you to that store's services and privacy terms. See xAI's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Preparing a task for your own bot

The optional “Prepare with my Grok Bot” tool creates instructions in your browser using the selected public product details and your planning limit. Copying them does not send them to Grok. You choose whether to paste them into your own bot, where that service’s privacy terms apply. The instructions contain no GrokCart account data, search history, delivery address or card details. GrokCart cannot see or verify what your bot does afterward.

Payment details

Integrated ordering and card saving are not active in this beta. No real card information can be entered into the sample checkout. If the Stripe card vault is activated later, its secure fields send card details directly to Stripe. Saving a card alone will not place a retailer order.
